The rewards of Heaven.

Eternal rewards for faithful servants.

Most people think of salvation only in terms of getting to heaven.
But Scripture reveals something deeper: God rewards faithfulness.
Salvation is a gift. Rewards are earned.
Ephesians 2:8–9 (KJV)
“For by grace are ye saved through faith… not of works.”
2 Corinthians 5:10 (KJV)
“For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body…”
Every believer will stand before Christ—not to be judged for sin, but to be rewarded for service. The Bible calls these rewards crowns.
THE FIVE CROWNS TAUGHT IN SCRIPTURE
The Bible clearly identifies five distinct crowns, each tied to faithfulness, endurance, and love for Christ.
THE CROWN OF LIFE
James 1:12 (KJV)
“Blessed is the man that endureth temptation… he shall receive the crown of life.” This crown is promised to believers who remain faithful under trial, suffering, persecution, and pressure. God sees every tear,
every struggle, every stand for truth.
THE CROWN OF RIGHTEOUSNESS
2 Timothy 4:8 (KJV)
“There is laid up for me a crown of righteousness… unto all them also that love his appearing.” This crown
belongs to those who long for Christ’s return and live with eternity in view—not loving this world,
but watching for Him.
THE INCORRUPTIBLE CROWN
1 Corinthians 9:25 (KJV)
“They do it to obtain a corruptible crown; but we an incorruptible.”
This crown is for discipline and self-control—believers who run the Christian race seriously, denying the flesh
and living for God’s glory.
THE CROWN OF GLORY
1 Peter 5:4 (KJV)
“And when the chief Shepherd shall appear, ye shall receive a crown of glory.”
This crown is promised to faithful shepherds and servants—those who lead, teach, and care for God’s people
with humility and love.
THE CROWN OF REJOICING
1 Thessalonians 2:19 (KJV)
“For what is our hope, or joy, or crown of rejoicing? Are not even ye…?”
This is the soul-winner’s crown—for those who share the gospel and rejoice in people coming to Christ.
WHY THESE CROWNS MATTER
Crowns are not about pride. They are about honor.
Revelation 4:10 (KJV)
“The four and twenty elders fall down… and cast their crowns before the throne.” Every reward we receive will ultimately be laid at Jesus’ feet—proof that faithfulness mattered and grace empowered it all.
A LOVING REMINDER
Crowns are not earned to be saved. Salvation is by grace alone.
But crowns are rewards for faithfulness after salvation — and not every believer will receive them
1 Corinthians 15:58 (KJV)
“Be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know
that your labour is not in vain.” Nothing done for Christ is wasted. He remembers. He rewards. He is faithful.
FINAL ENCOURAGEMENT
Live for eternity. Serve with joy. Run the race well. One day, faith will become sight—and the King Himself will reward His servants. Well done, thou good and faithful servant. (Matthew 25:21)
