How does a 4-stroke engine function.
​
A process in a 4-stroke engine consists of four work steps : intake, compression, work, ejection. At the same time, the crankshaft makes half a turn with every stroke. Before the piston can take action, the gasoline from the tank must be mixed with air from the environment in the carburetor. As a result, no gasoline is ignited directly, but a gas mixture of air and gasoline.
